Често срещани проблеми¶

Ако CryptPad не работи според очакванията, има няколко често срещани неща, които да опитате. Повечето от тях се отнасят до уеб браузъри и разширения, които или пречат на защитните функции на CryptPad, или деактивират основната функционалност на браузъра.

Проверете списъка с разширения по-долу, деактивирайте тези, които сте инсталирали, ако има такива

Забравих паролата си¶

Администраторите на копието на CryptPad не могат да възстановят или нулират потребителските пароли. Това също така гарантира, че те нямат достъп до никакви потребителски данни (напр. съдържанието на документи).

Ако все още сте в акаунт, за който сте забравили паролата си, можете да прехвърлите всичките си документи в нов акаунт със следните стъпки:

Как да импортирам/експортирам моите документи към/от друга платформа?¶

Да направим CryptPad съвместим с широк набор от формати на документи е постоянно предизвикателство за разработващия екип. За съжаление технологията за конвертиране на документите в браузъра все още има ограничения, особено що се отнася до частни решения и решения с отворен код. Докато работата в тази област е в ход, методите по-долу трябва да помогнат при импортиране и експортиране към/от друг широко използван софтуер.

Възможно е да качвате файлове в CryptPad за сигурно съхранение и споделяне, но това не прави всеки файл редактируем документ на CryptPad.

Текстовите файлове, качени като файлове, могат да бъдат отворени като документ с код/ Маркдаун с Щракване с десен бутон > Отворете в редактор на код.

Импортиране/експортиране не се вижда в менюто Файл¶

За електронни таблици и разширена обработка на документи Cryptpad интегрира OnlyOffice. В резултат на това има две ленти с инструменти, всяка със собствено меню Файл на същия екран. Не забравяйте да проверите и в двете менюта, когато търсите импортиране/експортиране.

Импорт/експорт на текстов документ (RTF)¶

За да импортирате документи с форматиран текст (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer и др.), поддържаният формат е HTML:

Експортирайте документа си като HTML с наличния ви софтуер.
Запазване на файла на компютъра ви.
Отворете нов Rich Text документ на CryptPad (или съществуващ, за да замените съдържанието).
Файл > Импортиране и избиране на файла ви.

За да експортирате, използвайте Файл > Експортиране и избиране на .doc като формат.

Импортиране/експортиране на електронни таблици¶

За импортиране на електронни таблици поддържаните формати за Microsoft Excel .xlsx и за OpenDocument .ods. И двата могат да бъдат експортирани от Google Sheets и LibreOffice Calc:

Export your document as .xlsx or .ods in your existing software.
Запазване на файла на компютъра ви.
Отворете нов Spreadsheet документ (или съществуващ, за да замените съдържанието).
Файл > Импортиране и избиране на файла ви.

To export, use File > Export and choose a format:

To use in Microsoft Excel or Google sheets, select .xlsx.
To use in LibreOffice Calc, select .ods.
For cases where no further editing of the data is required after export (presentations, reports, etc), select .pdf.
For backup purposes or to share with a user on another CryptPad instance, select .bin.

Note

Import/export of spreadsheets to various formats is only available in browsers that support specific functionality. Please see the up-to-date list of supported browsers.

I cannot do X with a document I created¶

Some functionality on CryptPad is restricted to document owners. This includes:

Enabling an access list.
Enabling a password.
Adding or removing other owners.
Destroying the document.

The ownership of a document is set when creating it and cannot be changed afterwards if the document is created without an owner.

The development team is considering removing this distinction in future. In the meantime, the safe default option is to "own" all documents you create in order to retain full control over them, including the ability to destroy them.

Can I use CryptPad on mobile?¶

CryptPad is engineered to work as well as possible on small screens. Depending on your device performance it should be possible to use CryptPad on mobile. Work to make CryptPad more responsive was undertaken in 2020, if you notice areas that need improvement in this regard, please contact Поддръжка or submit an issue on Github.

Are you planning to make an app?¶

We are not planning a dedicated mobile application for the following reasons:

It would dramatically increase the amount of code that has to be developed and maintained, effectively creating other "versions" of CryptPad for iOS and Android.
CryptPad is open source and can be hosted by anyone who wants to offer the service. Therefore, users of a mobile application would have to specify which CryptPad instance they want to connect to, which would be confusing. To complicate things further, each instance may be running a different version of the software, depending on whether or not the latest updates were applied by the administrators.

To address these problems, the development team is working on making CryptPad a "Progressive Web App". This means that it can be used on mobile through the web browser, behaving like an application while being the same software that runs on desktop browsers. This has the benefit of turning every CryptPad instance into a web app provider, rather than putting the burden of choosing the right instance on the user.

Can CryptPad sync documents to my local filesystem?¶

The way encryption is currently used in CryptPad does not allow syncing with the local file system. This is a regularly requested feature however, so the development team hopes to make it available in future.

What is the relationship between CryptPad and OnlyOffice?¶

The CryptPad Spreadsheet application is an integration of OnlyOffice Spreadsheets. However, this only concerns the client-side code, CryptPad does not make use of the OnlyOffice Document Server. CryptPad's encrypted collaboration, used for spreadsheets and other applications, is completely different from the encryption system used in parts of upstream OnlyOffice. Some of CryptPad's file format conversion tools are based on OnlyOffice code, but substantial work has been done to make it run in the browser rather than on the server, therefore avoiding the need to reveal the contents of users' documents when converting.

How Secure is CryptPad?¶

CryptPad aims at protecting the identity of its users and their content from us and external threats. However, this security is not absolute and requires that good practices are followed by the users and that the instance you access to is trustworthy. Explanations and recommendations are available in our blog.

To summarize the key points:

The instance administrators are assumed to be honest-but-curious, meaning that even though they play by the rule, they try to get as much information as they can from what they can perceive. We maintain a list of CryptPad public instances for which we verified that they are up-to-date and well configured;
The communication channels cannot be trusted and can be actively malicious: external threat are able to tamper, replay or drop messages. This should not alter the security of CryptPad;
The users you share your document are honest as once you send your content, they are trusted not to leak it. However, your identity remains oblivious to them in a weak form of anonymity: they have access to your public key and your display name;
- Therefore, the share link should be considered as sensitive as a passphrase. To add another layer of security, we recommend adding a password to your files. If you have an account, it is stored in your CryptDrive (which is considered secure) and the access remains seamless. However, external users finding the link still need the file password to access it.
The full edition history and different collaborators are visible upon sharing a document. If you want to keep it secret, the best way (so far) is to make then share a copy of the document, which will start anew with a fresh history.

FAQ for cryptpad.fr¶

Can I pay for my subscription without a card?¶

We accept payments by bank transfer, Paypal, or other depending on requests. However, due to the additional work involved in issuing invoices and processing payments manually, this option is limited to yearly plans for our Duo offer and above and incurs a 30% surcharge.

Do you accept cryptocurrencies for subscriptions and donations?¶

We accept payments in Bitcoin. These are subject to the manual processing surcharges as explained in the previous question. Additionally, as a company registered in France, we are legally required to ask for a name and address to issue the invoice to, and an email for communication about your subscription.

Can you provide a Data processing Agreement (DPA)?¶

DPAs are a feature of our Organization Plans, note that a example DPA is available for preview on that page.
